Crunchy Carrots is more than a digital marketing agency: it’s a community business, made of people who care deeply about making a real difference.
That’s why we love to sprinkle fundraising events and community initiatives throughout the year. Doing well by doing good is fundamental to who we are as a business and to be honest, it’s great fun. So, what have we been up to?
MacMillan Coffee Morning
Right now, there are more than 3 million people in the UK living with cancer. Donations from coffee mornings make a vital difference, helping Macmillan continue their services so people can find their best way through, from the moment they’re diagnosed, through treatment and beyond.
A few weeks ago we held our own MacMillan Coffee Morning, and we all (or, almost all) baked ourselves silly, offering our friends and clients everything from carrot cake (of course) to brownies, truffles, cookies, and pumpkin pie (with skooshy cream on the side of course).
It was a brilliant morning, and we had a fab time chatting with you all – and together we raised an incredible £352! Thank you to everyone who came along, to Henry’s Coffee Company for supplying coffee, and to all of you who donated.
Our next big challenge
From baking cakes to smashing records (maybe) we’ll do a lot for our local community – even running 10k on a drizzly Sunday morning in October.
Five dedicated members of the team – MD Scott, Web Developer Simon, Senior Digital Executive Megan, and Social Team Laura and Alex, are all taking on the Strathcarron Hospice 10k this Sunday.
The Strathcarron Hospice Team provides specialist care and support to 1,380 people living with and dying from a life limiting illness, and to do that they need to raise over £16,000 every single day.
By spending our evenings in training, and putting in the effort this Sunday, we hope to be able to raise some money for this wonderful team, supporting the wonderful work they do across our community.
