What has kept you busy during the last year in lockdown?
Work!! Diversifying Crunchy Carrots to help other businesses diversify through a difficult year working remotely.
Aside from work, starting online PT with Jaques Koen at “oPT in Personal Training” and taking up cooking healthy meals from scratch! I have been making curries, soups and lots of dishes on the BBQ during summer. Nothing better than a BBQ and beers outside in the sun!
What made you decide to start cooking?
To be honest, it started out of boredom and wanting to become more confident in the kitchen! It’s also great for creating a special occasion during lockdown, cooking a nice meal at the weekend helps make it special (along with beer and Prosecco of course). Cooking healthy meals alongside personal training has been great for keeping fit and staying occupied!
What tips would you give someone looking to start cooking or PT?
Anyone can do it! Grab the bull by the horns and get going. There are loads of websites like BBC Good Food that are full of easy, healthy recipes! Just build up your confidence.
I would recommend starting PT and exercising at home to anyone! It’s so simple and there’s no excuse when you don’t need any equipment. It’s great for keeping not only physically fit but it makes a huge different to your mental health. It really boosts your motivation and focus, especially during this past year!
What are you most looking forward to after lockdown?
The clouds disappearing and some form of normality returning. Being able to socialise with family and friends and I can’t wait to see businesses getting back to normal and growing again.
