In recent years, our society has taken positive steps regarding mental health, particularly our relationship with it and the issues and stigmas surrounding poor mental health. This is, in no small part, down to the dedication and passion of groups like The Falkirk District Association of Mental Health.
The Falkirk District Association of Mental Health – or FDAMH as they’re better known – understands the many reasons why someone may struggle, and that poor mental health can affect us all in many different ways. This is why FDAMH provides mental health support to individuals of all ages with a range of services and strives to create a safe and welcoming environment.
Crunchy Carrots recently worked alongside FDAMH to highlight what it is, the people behind it, and the services that they offer to the local community. We did this by providing a full visual media service, including professional photography and videography, film editing, and design services.

PHOTOGRAPHY
We provided a professional photography service to make their brand-new website as visually appealing as possible. It’s vitally important for many websites these days to have a strong visual component to give audiences a good idea of what a business or organisation is about.
Through a mix of candid and staged photos, we were able to inject some of FDAMH’s unique personality into its website content. Being the type of organisation that they are, showcasing the people behind it, and giving their audience a chance to get familiar with them, was an important part of this service.
DESIGN
In addition to first-rate photography to bring FDAMH’s online content to life, Crunchy Carrots provided design support for a mental health awareness campaign that they were running. This involved the designing of beer mats to convey their message to people in pubs and bars in Falkirk and the surrounding area.
The aim of the beer mat campaign was to raise awareness of male suicides in Scotland, discouraging men from ‘bottling up’ any mental health struggles they may be having. We provided the design of these beer mats to get across the shocking statistic that, last year, 75% of suicides in Scotland were carried out by men.
We also support FDAMH’s general brand awareness with our poster designs. Of Crunchy Carrots’ design work, Catherine Quinn – Marketing and Engagement Manager at FDAMH – says “it brought [our] branding ideas to life”.

VIDEOGRAPHY
Impressive video content has a real knack for grabbing an audience’s attention, with it being easily digestible and having the scope to truly engage people in a way no other medium can. So, it’s no surprise that 72% of people would rather learn about a product or service by way of video.
We provided the filming and editing services to produce a sleek, visually appealing, and informative video for FDHAMH. Catherine was delighted with the result of our work with them and believes our videography work “really helped [to] get the ‘FDAMH’ name out there.”
